WARRENSBURG:
Joseph F. McNeill, 85, of Warrensburg, son of the late Arthur and Deama (Prosser) McNeill, passed away on April 28, 2022 at Glens Falls Hospital.
Joseph was born on December 3, 1936 in Warrensburg. He started out his working career with Niagara Mohawk and Robert Pasco where he was employed for many years. Joseph retired from NYS Department of Transportation as a Highway Maintenance employee after 23 years. He was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Warrensburg, served on the Warrensburg Emergency Squad for a number of years and was one of the founders of the Upper Hudson Beagle/Hare Club which begin in 1970. During the fall Joseph could be found engaging in his favorite hobby, hunting.
Joseph is predeceased by brothers Harold, Arthur, Stephen and Gerald McNeill; sisters Irma Winslow and Elizabeth Cullen.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife Sandra (Carpenter) McNeill of Warrensburg; sons Joseph M. (Kathy) McNeill of Warrensburg, Kenneth F. (Kim) McNeill Sr. of Hudson Falls, Monty L. McNeill of Queensbury, and Matthew J. McNeill of South Glens Falls; daughter Wendy L. Douglas of Missouri; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Friends may call on Joseph’s family from 11am – Noon, Saturday, April 30, 2022, at the Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg, NY.
A funeral service will be conducted at Noon.
Burial will follow at North Caldwell Cemetery, Lake George.
