Emily was the definition of "Salt of the earth". She and Ray were second parents to me when I was growing up in Pine Meadow, CT. Their children were like brothers & sisters. Emily was the last of the small group of parents that raised all of the kids in our neighborhood. My sadness over her passing cannot be expressed in words. To the wonderful family Emily left behind, you guys are her legacy and she lives on through you & in the hearts of all of us that she touched throughout her life. I know the pain of your loss. It will slowly be replaced with all of the great memories, of which there are many. We were all very blessed to have Emily as a big part of our lives. She certainly help make me the person I am today. I love you all Smith family.
