As I wrote on our Mass card, I only met Garry at last year's Winter Carnival, where we braved the bitter cold at the food stand. He made an immediate impression on me, even though the encounters were brief. (We were busy!)A very impressive man! I could hardly believe my ears when Fr. Tremblay told me about Garry's death at Sacred Heart's community dinner. He and you all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Linda and family,
I am truly sorry that I could not be there to share in the joy of Garry's life remembrances. He was a wonderful man and had such a passion for life. He, too, helped me buy a car, just as he did for countless others. He will be greatly missed but will always live on in our hearts.

I first met Garry back in the 70's when my wife and I were involved in the Worldwide Marriage Encounter movement. We were at an information night and Garry and Linda had just returned from making a weekend. I remember him stating emphatically, "If you don't go on a weekend, you don't love your wife." He loved his wife very much and his children and grandchildren.
I began buying cars from him at Warren Ford in 1985. In 21 years between myself, my wife, and four of our five children, our family bought 16 cars from Garry. He never pressured me, but when I was interested, he was always there ready to provide the vehicle that we needed at that time, and always with mud flaps and a pinstripe.
He became more than a salesman, he became a friend. He always asked about my wife and my family. When his wife Linda was ill, he was very distressed and his love for her was very apparent. His love for his children and grandchildren was very real as he proudly displayed pictures in his office.
I will miss him very much. Going up to Warren Ford will not be the same anymore. I will keep him and all of his family in my prayers.

Linda, Kindra, Katie & Chip,
Our thoughts are with all of you during this most difficult time. Garry was a very special person. He not only sold me my first car but gave me my first job. We went on to enjoy many memorable years in the Lake George Fire Department. He put 110% into everything he did and had a gift for making any event large or small the best it could be. I still have the 1st place trophy that he presented to me when I was only 8 years old and won the Punt, Pass & Kick competition. I will cherish that and all my memories of our time together forever. I am so glad we had the chance to talk at the HVVFA parade in Queensbury this past June. Our love to you all. We will never forget him.

We were stunned and sadden to hear of Gary's passing. He was my best friend since high school. Gary and his mother were very supportive of me during some difficult years and I am very thankful they were in my life. I know firsthand what a good man he was. Linda, we have known you almost as long, and know how much you loved each other. Although we have not seen both of you very often in recent years, when we did get together, we picked it right up just like if we had seen you yesterday. Gary will truly be missed by many, many people. We are two of them.
Linda, our thoughts and prayers are with you always. Love, John and Janet

Gary was a big man with an even bigger heart to match.
Linda, you & Gary were probably our first friends in Lake George. True ambassadors of the area, you invited us to move here, helping to feed our dreams. Some six years later we decided Lake George was for us. Thank you for finding a spot in your hearts. Our love and wishes that God keep and bless you both. He will be missed, but not forgotten.

To the Grant family,
Gary was truly a blessed man, not only giving to All of You but also to everyone else, including our family. I remember when I first started coaching baseball and Gary's girls were placed on my team. Well that continued one and on, so with Gary's support at the start, I was able to continue coaching for 20 years. That is how Gary spread himself out to help everyone. Many people he doesn't even know, are blessed due to his testimony.
Our condolences to Linda and the family. Much Love, Clarence Head

I want to say im so sorry, I want you to know that gary was a very special person to me, he treated me like family, I worked at the gfhospital and i would spend alot of time in his room when he was alone and we would talk and laugh. (we would just laugh until i cried) I remember one of his stays I found out he was in and i went and bought him this teddy bear and i gave it to him. "I told him, I told it a prayer and now its watching over you." Whenever i was car looking i would go in a bug gary, he would find the perfect one and we would sit in the office talking about the grandkids and his family and Ted A. We would talk until another customer came in. I will miss his so much, he was a strong man and he always put others infront of himself and I believe that what makes him special. (Friends of ted A)

Linda and Family, My deepest sympathies to you all at this difficult time. Garry was a very special member of our community here in Lake George. Having grown up here, I will always remember his hard work with community events such as the Ford Punt , Pass and Kick, the winter carnival and of course the Fire Department. I remember going to Earl's Ford with my dad and watching the two with the most respect for each other, hammering out that deal that each were proud of. In the past few years, it was always a pleasure to see you out and swap stories of life in Lake George. God Bless to you Garry and family.
