Obituary of Marguerite E. Warner

Warrensburg: Marguerite E. Warner, 89, formerly of Warner Drive, passed away, Friday evening, July 27, 2007 at the Eden Park Health Care Center in Glens Falls. Born March 26, 1918 in Port Henry, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Myrtle (Turner) Harrington. Marguerite was a lifelong resident of the area and married Kenneth Warner on March 25, 1939. Ken died on February 27, 1988 after 49 years of marriage. She worked for over 30 years in the garment industry, working as a seamstress for 13 years at the former Warrensburg Shirt Factory and 12 years at the former Embassy Shirt Factory before retiring in 1970. Her favorite enjoyments were spending time with her family and gardening. Besides her parents and husband, her four sisters, Gertrude Hellgerman, Evelyn Meyers, Rose Sprague and Irene Hastings; her three brothers, Stewart, Edward and Thomas Harrington have also predeceased her. Survivors include her son, Edward Harrington Jr. and his wife, Sue of Warrensburg; her grandsons, Edward III, Eric and Shane Harrington all of Warrensburg; her brother, Leonard Harrington of Denver, CO; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside services will be conducted 10 am Tuesday in the Warrensburg Cemetery. There are no calling hours scheduled. Memorial donations may be made to the Warrensburg EMS, Warrensburg, NY 12885.
