Obituary of Charles M. Reynolds

Warrensburg: Charles M. “Matt” Reynolds, 78, of Smith Street, entered into the arms of his Savior on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Glens Falls Hospital. Born June 13, 1936 in Warrensburg, he was the oldest son of the late Charles G. and Laurette (Cross) Reynolds. Following his graduation from Warrensburg Central School, Matt enlisted in the United States Army, serving his country while stationed in Germany until his honorable discharge in 1957. Matt married Betty Haak on Septmeber 7, 1958 in Speculator. He was a lifelong resident of the Warrensburg area and was a member of the Fire Department and Emergency Squad, as well as the W2WCR Warren County Radio Club. In addition to his parents, Matt was predeceased by his sisters, Shelia Gillingham and Joan Cameron, a son-in-law, Rick Olden, and grandchildren, Diana and Sasha Keller. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Betty Reynolds of Warrensburg; his children, Carrie Olden and her friend, Chuck Dingman, of Warrensburg, Tori Bruce and her husband, Dan, of Warrensburg, Patti Duggan and her friend, Dan Riley, of Corinth, Tina Carson and her husband, Todd, of Glens Falls, and Stacy Freeman and her husband, Tim, of Palatine Bridge; his siblings, Leo Reynolds and his wife, Joan, of Johnsburg, and Margaret LaFond of Glens Falls; 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call on Matt’s family from 4 to 7 pm, Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. A funeral service to celebrate his life will immediately follow the visitation, at 7 pm, at the funeral home with Rev. Lee Call officiating. Burial will take place in the spring, in the Garnet Lake Wesleyan Cemetery.
