Obituary of Anne E. Arnheiter

Anne Elizabeth Arnheiter, 75, a fourth generation resident of the Adirondacks, passed Saturday morning after a short illness. In the comfort of her home on Circle Avenue with her daughters by her side, she went to be with her Lord and beloved husband. Born to one of the original ski families of the area, Anne met and married the love of her life, Wally, after his service with the 10th Mountain Division during WWII. Anne and Wally met at the historic Ski Bowl in North Creek where they spent every winter with their family for many years. Their love and passion for skiing continues through the family today. Anne also enjoyed walking throughout the hamlet of North Creek and working with her daughters at Hudson River Trading Company, and all those she met, who became her friends throughout her days there. Anne’s parents and oldest sister Dorothy preceded her. Her husband, Wallace passed on December 7, 1999 after 51 years of marriage. Survivors include their children, Laurie Arnheiter of Wevertown; Anthony Wallace Arhneiter and his wife Kathleen Stafford of CO; Wendy McGinn and her husband Gary of Schroon Lake; Paula Myers and her husband Daniel of Chattanooga, TN; Julie Bromley and her husband Glenn of Clarkston, MI; her two sisters, Marilyn Muhau of Metuchen, NJ; Helene Rocque and her husband Gene of Satellite Beach, FL; her grandchildren, Megan, Luke and Logan Shuman; Marcus and Katie McGinn; Ashley, Ian, Rachel and Colin Myers; Chelsea and Maddison Bromley; one great grandson, Michael Aiden McGinn and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial to celebrate Anne’s life will be held at 6 pm Friday evening, December 23rd at Calvary Bible Church on Route 28 in Wevertown with the Rev. Wayne Schoonmaker, Pastor officiating.
