Lillian H. Tonkin, 97, formerly of Schroon River Road, passed away, Saturday, September 22, 2007 at the Adirondack Tri-County Health and Rehab. Center in North Creek.
Born March 10, 1910 in Bremen, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Heinrich and Ida (Duck) Helmken.
Lillian was the widow of Robert E. Tonkin, who passed away in June of 1968.
Over the years, she worked as a dress finisher, waitress and club owner.
Besides her husband, four brothers and one sister have also predeceased her.
She leaves behind, her close friends, Hans and Renata Buck of Pottersville.
She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband in the Long Island National Cemetery.
