Obituary of Rosalyn E. Gadway

Queensbury/Pottersville: Rosalyn E. Gadway, 68, formerly of Glendale Park, passed away peacefully, Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Glens Falls Hospital. Born May 29, 1947 in Olmstedville, she was the daughter of Florence (Hammond) Wells of Ballston Spa, and the late Chancy Wells. Affectionately known as Rosie, she enjoyed spending time with family, reading, playing Yahtzee and cards, attending auctions, and caring for her farm animals. In addition to her father, Rosie was predeceased by her husband, Edward Gadway, longtime companion, John Saville, and grandson, Billy Haak. She is survived by her children, Leanna Welch and her husband, John, of Schroon Lake, Kevin Saville and his companion, Becky, of Altona, Khris Saville and his companion, Ruby, of Chestertown, Kerry Saville of Pottersville, and Kelly Saville and his wife, Kirsten, of Warrensburg; grandchildren, Hope, Joshua, Ashley, Kayla, Justin, Chelsea, Aaron, Kevin, Christopher, Dylan, Dustin, Bridget, Ryan, Adam, Lane, Jonathan, and Cody; two sisters, Nellie Mitchell and her husband, Don, and Marilyn Hammond and her husband, John Betz; two brothers, Charles Wells and his wife, Barb, and Terry Wells and his wife, Karen. She also leaves behind several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and special friends, Mary Baker and Ruth Robinson, as well as many more. Friends may call on Rosie’s family from 6 to 8 pm, Friday, March 11, 2016 at Alexander Funeral Home, Inc., 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. A memorial service to celebrate her beautiful life will immediately follow the visitation at 8 pm, Friday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations in Rosalyn’s memory to the American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org.
