Obituary of Linda Lee Bartlett

Glens Falls: Linda Lee Bartlett, 67, of Bay St., passed away peacefully, Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at her home, following a long, courageous battle with COPD. Born September 12, 1947 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Nellie (Smith) Brown. Linda was educated in Bolton Landing and worked the restaurant industry for many years. She owned and operated the Wander Inn in Glens Falls for 25 years and was always there to lend a helping hand; she was a kind, caring, and giving person. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Larry, Frank, and Charles Brown. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Leigh Bartlett of Glens Falls; a sister, Marie Dagles of Bolton Landing; two brothers, Gary Brown and his companion, Nancy, of Lake George, and Ralph Brown and his wife, Elaine, of Bolton Landing; step-children, Edward Bartlett of Toronto, Canada, Leigh Bartlett of Rexford, and Lisa Daniels of Corinth; and five special grandchildren, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call on Linda’s family from noon to 1 pm, Monday, January 12, 2015 at Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. A funeral service to celebrate her beautiful life will immediately follow the visitation at 1 pm, Monday, at the funeral home with Rev. Nancy Barrow, Pastor of the Warrensburg Free Methodist Church officiating. Spring burial will take place at 11:30 am, Wednesday, April 29, 2015 in Bolton Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations in Linda’s memory to a charity of one’s choice. Linda’s family would like to thank the nursing staff at the Glens Falls Hospital, and the Glens Falls Fire and Police Departments for the exceptional care and compassion they offered to both she and her family throughout her illness.
