Please share a memory of William to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Warrensburg:
William D. Tomlinson, 69, of Alden Avenue, passed away peacefully, Saturday, January 9, 2016 at his home following a long illness.
Born September 7, 1946 in Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late William K. and Gloria Tomlinson.
William found great joy in buying and selling antiques. He loved attending yard sales and would often be the first one there, arriving before dawn to get the “pick of the litter.” He and several others were responsible for the creation of The World’s Largest Garage Sale many years ago. He will be remembered as Warrensburg’s “American Picker.”
He is survived by his beloved companion of 30 years, Brenda Ettari of Warrensburg and her two daughters, Susan Giarro of West Columbia, SC and Kathleen Ploof of Essex Junction, VT, whom he considered his family.
At William’s request, there are no calling hours or funeral services scheduled.
His family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and staff at the Renal Center at Glens Falls Hospital for the wonderful care he received during his illness.
