Lee, Paul, and families you are truly in my heart and thoughts at this very difficult time. Memories are something that no one can take away and Gene certainly left us all with with enough for a lifetime. His words of wisdom, spoken in a way only Gene could do, have made a difference in my life as well as the lives of anyone who had the honor to have received them. Lee, you are fortunate to have had so many years with such a wonderful man, a life that most women can only dream of. Paul, you have been left not only with a legacy but with the values and integrity necessary to keep it alive. Gene will always be with you in his immortal wisdom to guide you through the decisions that only you can make as he always has been, the only difference is now you have to take his call no matter how busy you are.

My deepest sympathy to Lee and the Schaivi Family. Gene was my employer for 3 years and was a joy to work for. His sense of humor and interest in and kindness to his employees will always be a part of my memories. Even after 21 years, I often speak of my time at NEPCO. I will always have fond memories of Gene and Bob and our times together.
God bless you all. I know that God has found a special room for Gene in one of His mansions.
with love,
Sylvia Dufford

Dear Lee and family
Our deepest sympathies go to you all.
What good memories we have of the Shiavi family.
The year 1955 was when we also thought of a business venture. That was the year we started the Laundry.
Many trips and parties over the last 50 years, were shared with you and Geno.
Ann & I certainly appreciated when you brought Lois up to see us, that was Feb 13..
So sorry that I wasn't in a position to help you the last 8 weeks during Gene's illness..
Our Prayers go out to you,Bruce, Nancy, and Paul and family members.
Sincerely,, Ed & Ann

My deepest sympathys to the family, Gene, was a great man, I had the pleasure of meeting at a very early age, I worked for him as one of my first jobs at the plant in Warrensburg. He was stern but a great teacher, and a great man. I have grown up with the family in Warrensburg, and Gene will be missed by all.

To the Schiavi Family,
Gene was a fantastic, brilliant, witty, visionary Man! I am reminiscing right now (with tears in my eyes) about our walks in the Pack Forest together, our first meeting at The Glens Falls Country Club, business trips we went on and of course our one on one meetings as well as company meetings upstairs in Geno's old office.
I feel that it was both an honor and blessing to have both worked for Geno and to have gotten to know him and his family personally.
JESUS CHRIST our Lord and Savior is holding you Schiavi's tight in the palm of his mighty hand right now during this time of grief and sorrow.
Thank you Gene for all the fond memories and especially for the inspiration that contributed to my own success in becoming an independent business man. Thank you for giving me a "leg up" in this life.
I love you Schiavi's! You are very special people with a great legacy!
With Love!

Gene was a sweet man who always had words of encouragement when you needed and words of wisdom even if you didn't know you needed them. I will miss his phone calls from Florida about the weather and the going ons at work. And he didn't even rub it in too much when we had 20 below and he had 80 degrees.
Lee, you were a very lucky woman to have such a great man in your life for so many years. In this time of sorrow know that his love is still with you.
Paul, I know how close you are with your father and that connection has helped to mold you into the great man you are now. Geno's spirit will always guide you even when you don't think you need it.
The office will not be the same without Gene's physical presence there, but I know he will be watching to make sure we continue to succeed in the company he began. You can count on me to help in anyway I can.
