Obituary of Dorothy I. St. John

LAKE GEORGE/WHITEHALL:  Dorothy I. (Phillips) St John, 95, formerly of Whitehall, NY went home to Glory with her Lord and Savior on July 27, 2024.  She passed away from dementia at the home of her daughter Kathy.

Dorothy was born in Mahanoy City, PA and was the daughter of the late Jesse and Mary (Weverski) Phillips. She enjoyed crocheting, drawing, sewing and quilting.  She loved the Lord and was a 61-year member of the First Baptist Church in Whitehall.  She served the Lord as a Sunday School teacher, and was a member of the choir and the Baptist Ladies Aide. 

Besides her parents she is predeceased by her husband Cyril (Howard) St John, her sisters Mary Roberts, Jean Phillips, and Grace Richmond, and a brother Jesse Phillips.  Also, her son in law Michael (Mike) Radcliff. 

She is survived by her daughter Kathy Radcliff of Lake George, her sons Howard (Wilma) St John of Whitehall and David (BettyAnn) St John of Paw Paw, Michigan and her sister-in-law Erika St John, nieces and nephews.  Her grandchildren:  Kristine Preece (Duane Rivers), Jesse (Katie) St John, Fredrick (Angie) St John, Jennifer (Donnie) Thompson, Christopher (Casey) St John.  Her great grandchildren:  Preston Preece, Mackenzie Preece, Brandon Preece, Hunter (Sonny) Thompson, Michael Thompson, Skylar Thompson, Nicoli Thompson, Florentino (Tino) St John and Cyril (CyCy) St John, Ellie St John and Brennan St John.  Also, her great, great granddaughter Raven Thompson.

A very special thank you to the Alzheimer’s Dementia Association, Homeward Bound, and High Peaks Hospice.  Our sincerest thanks for the wonderful compassion, kindness and care shown by everyone who helped with our mom’s care during this time.
