WARRENSBURG:  Scott Crandall, 68 years young, of Warrensburg, NY passed away with his beloved wife by his side, after a long illness, on July 16, 2024 at Glens Falls Hospital.

Scott was born on April 16, 1956, in Glens Falls, NY, to the late Chester Crandall and Ruth (Prosser) Wood. He graduated from Warrensburg Central School in 1974 and entered the workforce shortly thereafter. Scott worked for the Town of Thurman Highway Department for 30 years, retiring in 2016. In 2012, Scott married the love of his life, Lorie Urtz, on June 11, 2012, in Las Vegas, NV.

When not working, Scott enjoyed listening to country music, singing karaoke, hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle.

Besides his father, Scott is predeceased by his step-father Herbert Wood and brother Martin Crandall.

Left to cherish Scott’s memory is his loving wife Lorie Crandall of Warrensburg; his children Hope Crandall of Syracuse, NY and Douglas (Diane) Crandall of Norfolk, NY; stepdaughters Kristen Prevost and Alecia Prevost of Hudson Falls, NY; stepson James Prevost of Warrensburg, NY; sisters Shirley (Don) Graves of Thurman, NY and Tammy (Dewey) Corlew of Vermont; brothers Shawn (Linda) Wood of Warrensburg, NY, Pete (Maggie) Wood of Warrensburg, NY, Calvin (Michele) Wood of Glens Falls, NY, Brian (Tammy) Wood of Glens Falls, NY and Shannon (Kathy) Wood of Johnsburg, NY; father-in-law Brant Urtz of Warrensburg, NY; sister-in-law Lisa Urtz of Warrensburg, NY; brother-in-law Christopher (Trishia) Urtz of Thurman, NY nine step-grandchildren, Malia, Tehya and Brayden Prevost, Dylan, Abel and Liam O’Neil, Landon Frasier, Kamiya Prevost and Heath (Marcie) Provost; 2 step great-grandchildren Alexis Ramsdell and Conner Provost and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
