Obituary of Sharon R. DeGrechie

WARRENSBURG: Sharon R. DeGrechie, 66 years old, passed away peacefully in Saratoga Springs on June 22, 2024.

Sharon was born on October 13, 1957 in Glens Falls, NY to the late Leo DeGrechie and Elizabeth (Beswick) DeGrechie. 

Sharon was a long-term resident at the Finley Street Home in Saratoga Springs. Sharon loved music, ladybugs, and day trips, especially to the Crayola Factory. She had many friends in the house and also at day habilitation with Saratoga Bridges. Her most favorite activity was drinking lots of coffee, preferably from Stewart's. Sharon was a kind and loving person who will be missed.

Sharon is predeceased by her father Leo DeGrechie and nephews Billy & Leo Sutphin.

Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Elizabeth DeGrechie; sisters Donna Paynter, Roxanne (Rit) Thompson-Pierce and Julie Burnett; brothers Tony (Paula) DeGrechie, Terry (Jackie Lanning) DeGrechie and Peter DeGrechie and several nieces, great nieces, great great nieces and nephews.

Sharon’s family would like to express their appreciation to the entire staff at Finley Street and Saratoga Bridges for the kindness they always showed to Sharon throughout the years.

Friends may call on Sharon’s family from 11am – Noon, Friday June 28, 2024 at Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main Street, Warrensburg, NY. A funeral service will take place at Noon following visitation. Burial will follow in Warrensburg Cemetery, Hudson St., Warrensburg.
