Please share a memory of Judy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
WHITEHALL: Judy I. (LaMountain) Longtin, 72 years old, also known as “Mim” sadly passed away on June 15, 2024 in Glens Falls Hospital due to medical complications with her family by her side.
Judy came into this world on January 14, 1952 in Glens Falls, NY to the late Reginald Edmund and Joyce Vivian (Rock) LaMountain. Judy graduated from Whitehall Central School, Class of 1970. She married the love of her life Rodney Longtin on January 31, 1970, happily starting their family at that time.
Judy worked various jobs until she discovered her passion at Women’s Care in Glens Falls, where she decided to become a nurse. She attended Southern Adirondack BOCES and graduated with her LPN degree in 2000. At Women’s Care, Judy was a dedicated and compassionate LPN with Dr. O’Keefe affectionately nicknaming her 'Whitehall”.
Judy enjoyed gardening, sewing, camping, and spending time with family and friends. Judy’s great grandchildren are the light of her life, although all of them live in Oregon. Then two years ago, she experienced the birth of her great-granddaughter, Vi-Vi, who lives locally. From that moment on, Judy devoted her life to Violet.
Besides her parents, Judy is predeceased by her brother Ronald Paul LaMountain.
Left to cherish Judy’s memory is her husband of 54 years, Rodney L. Longtin; daughters Wendy (Brandon) Brimmer and Katina (Paul Michael Strain Jr.) Longtin; son Nathan Longtin; sisters Sandra (Howard) Osborne and Michele (Jeffrey) Belden; grandchildren Derek Brimmer and girlfriend Rylee, Josh (Melissa) Brimmer, Caleb (Jennifer) Brimmer, Ethan (Tabitha) Davis, Keriona Davis, Saydee Davis and their father Matthew Davis and Lukas Longtin; great grandchildren Laylanee, Westyn, Grant, Taten, Clara, Elise, Nadia, Zander, and Jackson Brimmer, and Mimmie’s girl Violet Marie Davis and sister-in-law Lynda LaMountain, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to Donna Crandal Foundation for CF at Albany Medical Center or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Judy's wish to be donated to science was fulfilled.
