Obituary of Marisa Lynn Trapasso
WARRENSBURG: Marisa Lynn Trapasso, 39, of Warrensburg, NY passed away suddenly on June 14th, 2024 in a motor vehicle accident. Her unexpected loss has sent shockwaves through our extremely close-knit family and community.
Marisa was born on December 5th, 1984 to Mark and Linda Trapasso in Glens Falls, NY. She attended Warrensburg Central School and was a member of the graduating class of 2003.
All those that knew Marisa, understood that she was one of a kind. Marisa took joy from the simple pleasures in life. She lived for music, her family, and living life in the truest fashion. Live music especially resonated with Marisa, she felt every note and lyric that passed her ears and appreciated that beauty in all of it.
Though she had a tough exterior, Marisa had an endless amount of empathy that resonated with those she surrounded herself with. Those closest with her will never forget the beautiful little things that made her unique. She had a great affinity for painting, being creative, and sharing her no holds barred feelings with the world. She was as honest as a person could be in a way we all didn’t know we needed at times. She could be a sarcastic ball of fire, but she lived her life unapologetically, which we should all be so lucky to do. To be in the presence and love of Marisa was to know it on an unmatched scale. She was fiercely loyal and would go to the ends of the earth for those in her circle.
But there was no one she oved more than her sweet Lilliana. As a mother, Marisa embodied that mama bear mentality and has done her part in raising a beautiful, intelligent, unapologetic, tougher than nails girl to carry on her legacy in this world.
She is predeceased by her paternal grandmother Evelyn Trapasso; her maternal grandfather Francis Paul West; and her uncles Rodney Lane and Tony “Boom” Trapasso.
Marisa is survived by her daughter Lilliana Jean Ludwig; parents Mark and Linda Trapasso; her brother Mark Anthony (Kevin) Trapasso; her maternal grandmother Shirley West; her paternal grandfather Anthony Trapasso; her half-brother Jeremy Taylor and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Her departure comes as a great shock and a deep wound, and it is gravely felt by her entire family and countless others who loved her deeply in her wide network of community. The family deeply appreciates your support during this difficult time.
Friends are invited to call on Marisa’s family from 11am - 2pm, Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main Street, Warrensburg, NY. A memorial service to celebrate a beautiful life will be held following visitation at 2pm.
