Obituary of Doug Olcott
WARRENSBURG: Douglas W. Olcott, 55 years young, passed away peacefully yet unexpectedly on Saturday, February 3, 2024.
Doug came into this world on June 29, 1968 in Ticonderoga, NY, to the late Raymond Olcott and his mother, Ida (Stacy) Jordon. He graduated from Ticonderoga High School and immediately enlisted in the United States Army, where he proudly served two tours. Upon returning home, Doug pursued various occupations, with his current position being a waiter/bartender at Blue Water Manor in Bolton Landing, NY.
When Doug wasn’t working, he frequently indulged in his passions, such as golfing as a member at Cronin’s Golf Resort, participating in Poker games, and embracing life to the fullest. His infectious zest for life deeply impacted his family and friends, who will dearly miss him.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Ida and Jeff Jordon; sister, Kim (Volker) Bayer; brothers, Danny (Wedma) Olcott, Shawn (Kim) Olcott, Shannon (Laura) Olcott, and Jason (Joanne) Jordon; as well as nieces and nephews; Dakotah Olcott, Mersadie Olcott, Troy Olcott, Derek Bayer, Travis Jordon, Hunter Jordon, Jeffrey Jordon, Connor Olcott, and Emily Olcott.

Friends may call on Doug’s family from 4pm – 6pm, Friday, February 9, 2024, at Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main Street, Warrensburg, NY. A memorial service with military honors will be held at 6pm at the funeral home.
