Florence Ann (Baker) Dingman, 84, passed away peacefully at the Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, FL on August 24, 2008, following a long illness.
Born on August 23, 1924 in Kingsbury, she was the daughter of the late George and Millicent (Combs) Baker.
She married Lloyd A. Dingman, Jr., on September 26, 1940. The couple resided in Warrensburg until 1988 when they relocated to Floral City, FL.
Florence was employed at the Warrensburg Shirt Factory, where she was a floor supervisor for over 20 years.
Throughout the years, she enjoyed many activities including; sewing, gardening, traveling with her husband, cooking, and baking.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Vance Dingman; and daughter Connie Sue Frisbie.
Florence is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Lloyd A. Dingman Jr.; three daughters: Darlyn Ballard of Fort Edward; Sharon Davis and her husband, James of Warrensburg; and Marilyn Terrell and her husband, Bruce of Warrensburg; her brother Sharkey Baker of Florida; and sister Grace Stone of Warrensburg; along with 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call on Florence’s family from 12 to 2 pm, Saturday, August 30, at the Christ Community Church in Thurman.
Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2 pm at the church with Rev. Bill Lucia officiating.
Burial will follow the funeral services in Warrensburg Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, or to a hospice organization of ones choice.
