I am so sad that I lost contact with Rick. The world lost a good man! He started out as our electrician and then became a treasured friend. We celebrated his birthday with a family group every June. He and several others chose liver, onions and bacon for their birthday dinner; he always had a small piece of birthday cake as he didn’t like sweets. He was a gifted electrician and one of his work projects was upgrading the complete 50+ year-old electrical system that was in our very large church; it was a magnificent finish! He had a great work ethic and always put in a good days work no matter what kind of work he was doing. He was quiet but had a good sense of humor and he was a compassionate soul. Regretfully, we lost touch when we moved and my husband died. I prayed with Rick a couple of times; and I believe our God lifted him on angels’ wings and brought Rick to Himself.
I’m saddened to hear of Rick’s passing. I remember his love for country music and a cold bud light in his hand. I’ve had the pleasure of accompanying him on many fishing trips, specifically fluke. Rick was a great guy in many many ways. He had a generous heart and was always willing to help others. You will be forever missed. May you rest in peace my old lost friend xoxo
