Obituary of Sandra B. Fisher

STONY CREEK: On July 23, 2023 Sandra B. Fisher passed away at home while her husband, Thomas B. Fisher, was at her side.

Born March 19^th, 1943 to Elva Marie Combs and George Andrew Bunker, Sandra was raised in Warrensburg, NY with her brothers James, Ronald, and Kevin.

Sandra graduated from Warrensburg High School, went on to get her Associates degree from Adirondack Community College and retired as a teacher’s aide from Warrensburg High School. Along with being raised and educated locally, Sandra was an active member of The Church of the Holy Cross in Warrensburg, NY. 

Sandra and Thomas married in 1961 and traveled the globe throughout Thomas’s military career. In the early 1960s Sandra and Thomas called Stony Creek, NY home. Sandra raised three daughters, Deborah, Sherri, and Darcy. She was also an ever-present figure in the lives of her seven grandchildren: Jessica, Stephanie, Taylor, Drew, Dakota, Richard, and Nolan.

Sandra, although petite in stature, was a pillar of strength for her friends and family. She will forever be remembered for the love she provided for her family and will be missed dearly.

Friends may call on Sandra’s family from 11 am to 1 pm, Thursday, July 27, 2023 at the Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg.

A Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 pm, Thursday, at Church of the Holy Cross, 3764 Main St., Warrensburg with Fr. Thomas Pettigrew, Rector, officiating.

Burial will follow in Warrensburg Cemetery.
