Dear Lovey and Family,
We just found out about Skip. He was always an inspiration to be around. Laughter was not a stranger to him. It was a privilege and we are very happy to have know him!
Love

Skip and I went to school together for most of our school years. We played a year of football our Freshman year in High School and baseball in our Junior year together. We graduated together in June of 1957 and I moved to Ohio 2 months later. The last time I saw Don and met Lovey was at our 30th class reunion. It was good to see him and meet his wife. I will always remember Don as a FRIEND.

Skip, in honor of today…
A quiet elegance whispers of your departure and the hollowness-left in our home has a tangible sorrow and heaviness to it.
So many years have raced before us, as one door closes another stands ajar. Through that door we stand within its frame longingly staring after the trailings of your shadow, gone now from our gaze.
We find ourselves weeping at your absence discovering the void we now find within…we are humbled.
People have always commented on the feeling that they sense within our home, those in tune sense the gentle kind spirits that dwell within these walls, you now among them.
We rejoice in the journey that awaits you, we know Donny and all the others welcomed you with love and a gentle embrace.
What a blessing it is to know that love is eternal, you will be deeply missed, your memory a treasure resting peacefully in our hearts.
Love, Michelle

Helen, you and I played bridge together at OP's many years ago. I enjoyed playing with you and regret that we could not develop our friendship further.
I am so sorry to read about your husband, Skip's passing. I am 86 and so many of my age group are passing from this world. I lived on the east side of Friends Lake in those days. Now in Queensbury.
Your family will be a comfort to you in the days to come. You certainly have my sympathy.

Skip was a role model as a neighbor, coach and especially as a family man. He, along with his perfect partner Mrs.D, raised their kids with impressive energy and love. I was fortunate to have been around for some of those great moments. God bless

I had the pleasure of working for Don at Xerox for many years. He was, far and away, the best manager I worked for in my years at the company. I'll never forget the frequent get-to-gathers he hosted at Powder Mill Park for his "crew".

Helen & Family,
So sorry for your loss. We always loved the going back and forth banter with you and Skip. May your memories of the wonderful times you shared be your comfort during this most difficult time.

I was very fortunate to work with Dief. He was a true professional, a man who was respected by all.
My wife Sharon and I spent many happy times with Dief and Lovey at their home in Johnsburg. Good memories of our time spent at the Saratoga Races and exploring Garnet Lake and the Beautiful Adirondack Mountains.
Rest in Peace Don
