I had not seen Keri for over a year, but I have known her since Livvy was born and I worked with Vickie and Billy at Son of a Sailor. My heart breaks for Liv, and all of her family having only lost their Mom not long ago. My heart is broken in a million pieces as I have just learned of Keri's passing and just a short time before her mom Eileen.
Keri was my student in Kindergarten as we trialed the all day kindergarten program, the first in NJ. Since Keri's birthday is in December she started it at 4 years old! That beautiful face, those huge eyes, and that fearless freedom surrounded by joyous laughter! To add to this inspiring scenario was her mom, Eileen, flaming red hair, glistening eyes and frivolous freckles that substituted as sparkles was a PTA mom and served as a playground aide. My day was filled with Matthews` smiles, energy and love.
Keri was followed by Brian. Since I was an Assistant Principal I was blessed to see all the Matthew's. Colleen too and especially mom (Eileen") as I served as a glorified lunch lady. My memories of Keri and Eileen are laughs and love and family and pure, unadulterated joy.
Happy Heavenly Peace in Heaven. Pray for us until we meet again. Love MISS G
