Q: What was one of your favorite qualities of Margaret?
A: Margaret’s sweet spirit was such a blessing! We were also sure she’d outlive us all because she lived at a slow, steady pace and didn’t seem easily ruffled. But she had come through many hard times and still kept her smile and sense of humor. One fond memory that Mike and I have of her took place in Bakers Mills Wesleyan Church, where she faithfully attended. It was early spring and Mike was asking people, at the beginning of the service, if they’d seen any robins yet. There was silence, then Margaret smilingly piped up, “No, but yesterday I saw some crows!”
