We will miss Lila, my Great Aunt on my father's side. My best memory was staying at the Glen Hudson campground on the Hudson River. Actually the fun started at my Great Aunt May's house upriver. We each grabbed an inner tube for a family float back to our campsite. Anne did you join us on this adventure ? Aunt Lila made sure we had a great time. On my last visit she arranged for a camper with a small train car to take us up the tracks, going by the marble slabs that had fallen off on a previous derailment. Great memories. Aunt Lila lives on in my heart.

Our deepest condolence to Anne and Al and all the family on the passing of this amazing lady. My fondest memory is of playing Rummikube with Lila. It was late and she would say “one more game”. Nobody could refuse her. She always won!

I work at the Warren Center and I have enjoyed my time with Hannah. She always made me laugh and smile. She was a very interesting woman and I will miss her deeply.

I had the honor and great pleasure of knowing and helping to provide care for Lila while visiting her at the homes of Anne in Athol, or Ronnie in Queensbury for several years. What a wonderful lady she was! I treasure the booklet of poetry she gave me years ago, along with this portrait I took of her back in September 2014. One of the greatest Adirondack women I have ever known, I will keep her memory in my thoughts forever!

I’m so thankful I met Lyla. She strolled in the dining room one evening when my family was visiting and we were playing a card game. She started talking with us and we became instant friends. She nicknamed me her Chickadee and I loved her dearly. A very sweet lady and will be greatly missed.
