Sandra Posteraro, 66, of Horicon Ave. passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2013 after being stricken at her home.
Born May 7, 1947 in Blackburn, Scotland she was the daughter of the late John Penman and Mary (McCulloch) Hamilton.
Sandy spent her childhood in Scotland, where she remained until she married her pen-pal, Vincent Posteraro, in Germany on Christmas Eve, 1966. The couple moved to New York in 1968, living downstate before relocating to Bolton Landing in 1975.
Besides her parents, Sandy was predeceased by her brothers, John McCulloch and David Elderton, and a sister, Jean Annunziata.
She leaves behind her beloved husband of 46 years, Vincent Posteraro of Bolton; a son, Mark Posteraro and his wife, Dawn of Bolton; three daughters, Lynn Brockway and her husband, Mark of Fort Edward, Jennifer Posteraro of Bolton, and Heather Chenier and her fiancé, Chris Millington, also of Bolton; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; a brother, William Forrester and his wife, Margaret; and a sister-in-law, Irene Elderton, all of Scotland.
At Sandra’s request there will be no calling hours scheduled.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will take place at a later time to be announced.
