Dear Donna and Family,
Our hearts are filled with sorrow at the news of Bob's passing, but the hope because of Jesus brings great joy and peace that he is with the Lord! We will pray for you and your family during this time of sorrow asking for God's grace to be sufficient for all. Just the other day I was thinking of your Mother and Father and how I miss speaking with them, especially about politics and theology. When I heard of Bob going home to heaven, I couldn't help but smile and think of his relationship with your parents. Do you think your Mom and Bob are teasing each other again? :) However it works in heaven, their relationship has transcended the good relationship they had on earth to unimaginable levels of love. Bob was a special, encouraging person, which I know he would attribute to the grace of God in his life, he'll be missed until we meet again.

May the comfort of the Holy Spirit fill the loss of Brother Bob and be with his family. I recall his loving smile and good teaching at our pastoral fellowships while I was ministering at North Chester I. B.C.in the 1980's, As a cancer patient, I can understand his struggles (and, if we would be honest, fears of the unseen future). But, our hope is in the Lord and we rejoice that Bob is in His presence.

Donna, I am sorry to hear about Bob's passing. I have many good memories of Bob when we taught together at Lafayette Baptist School. One day he walked into my classroom ( while I was teaching) with one of our basketball uniforms on and with a brown grocery bag over his head (of course with eyeholes cut out). You never knew what he might do next. What a great guy!!! Tim Weeks told me several months ago that Bob was having serious health issues. I am glad that his suffering is over. God is good, all the time! Count on my prayers for you and the family.

To bobs family . I am so sorry for the loss of bob. Such a dear and nice person always out to help anyone. He was by my brother s side during his battle with cancer. Denny Russell, ken Russell , and myself alway talked about how great of a person bob was. He will be missed by many now hes in heaven with his family , and friends like Kenny and Denny . My thoughts and prayers are with the family during these difficult times . If any one in the family needs anything please text or call me. Bob called me Mike. We talked about fishing, about his love for Mrs. Donna, his grandchildren. We've prayed, many times together. We also listened to many great tunes during breakfast & lunch. Pastor Herrmann held a special place in my heart. As an evangelist family we would come to his churches and help him do VBS. It was always a great week and a highlight of our summer. Bob and my dad were good friends! They played golf every year we were there.
Bob arranged trips for us along with his church to see the Montreal Expos play baseball in Canada. Whether we took our own vehicles or a bus the trip was always fun. There are so many more memories I could share, but I will leave by saying; He had a heart for souls and a love for God. I'm glad to have known this man.
