I'm as sorry as I can be that I was not able to attend Aunt Carol's calling hours and funeral. I had committed to travel to Ohio on October 6th through the 17th to take care of 3 of my granddaughters while Karl and Karen went away. I know the family trusts I would have been there otherwise. Great Aunt Carol was one of the younger sisters of my grandmother, Beulah. Being that I grew up in Thurman, as well, I had many fond memories of Aunt Carol and Uncle John babysitting me and staying overnight for a few days. Being that they had no children of their own they doted on me, Teresa and Stevy. They seemed to love having kids around the house. I also had the experience , when at 18 years old, of working at the dress factory on River Street along with a great bunch of ladies which included Aunt Carol. She also sewed every stitch of the brides maids dresses at my wedding that year. She'll be truly missed. See you on the other side Aunt Carol. Love from Glenda Duell

I knew Carol from Fort Hudson. My mom recently passed and my dad is still there. She and I had several conversations and I found her delightful. I commented on the photo of her with her husband. She chuckled that he was so tall and handsome and that she didn’t even come up to his armpit! I will miss her sweet face and gentle nature. Rest In Peace sweet lady. You are now in the arms of your handsome husband once more!
