Frank A. Draghi, 86, passed away Tuesday, June 3rd at the Glens Falls Hospital following a brief illness.
He was born on August 26, 1921 in Manhattan to John and Margerite Draghi. The family later moved to Staten Island.
Frank was a veteran of World War II and served in the European theater in the U.S. Army.
He was employed by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services where he was the Chief of Security at the Public Health Service Hospital on Staten Island.
In 1981, he retired and moved to Minerva.
Frank was proud to be a life member of the American Legion.
His remains have been transported to the Virginia Funeral Chapel, 1707 Highland Blvd., Staten Island, NY.
Calling Hours will be held from 7 to 9 pm, Thursday, June 5th, at the funeral chapel.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 6th, at St. Ann’s Church in Staten Island.
A memorial mass at St. Joseph’s Church in Olmstedville will be held at a later date.
Entombment will be in the Themoravian Cemetery in New Dorp, Staten Island.
