May you find comfort in the memories that are yours to cherish always, and strength in the companionship of those who share your loss.... I have learned never to underestimate the healing power we all have. It is always there to be used for the highest good. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. (Matthew 5:4) May it be a source of inner strength to know that there's a loving God watching over you, and that, throughout this time of need, He'll stay close by your side.
All those sleeping in their graves will wake up and sing for joy. As the sparkling dew refreshes the earth, so the Lord will revive those who have long been dead."-Isa. 26:19.

What does a person say at times like these; with the exception to let you know that we are thinking of you & yours? Curt & I wish to express our sincere condolences on your loss of Ed. We have known you both for so many years but with your retirement, move to Warrensburg and my physical problems since 1989 - we just have lost touch. For that we are sorry, but we remember Ed coaching our "kids", your being @ the school office, his working along side of with me at the Adirondack Journal when the Longs still were the publishers. Because of Ed, I was also invited to Pottersville to meet with my favorite football coach, the one & only TOM LANDRY of the Dallas Cowboys. It was a great thrill & I was invited back 3 more times. We had a great day that Memorial Day so many years ago. We also remember sitting with you two at a Christmas gathering at the former Colonial Arms when Thom was the publisher. We had a lovely conversation, our Kelly was there also. We know she will echo our feelings when she hears of Ed's passing as will all of our family. Ed was mostly a quiet person with a dry sense of humor and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Take care and know that he has now gone on to teach others the ins&outs of coaching.
Always, Curt & Nancy castner

I am sorry to see that this wonderful man has passed on. I remember dancing down at the bandstand with him and his wife when I was younger. They were always so loving of one another. Such nice people. His dance moves will be missed.
