Douglasville, Georgia:
Nethel C.(Doreen) Burrell formerly of Carthage, NY passed away Wednesday Oct. 1st, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA. with her loving daughter at her side.
She had been undergoing extensive treatment for a rare form of Lymphoma since May.
Born November 17th, 1949 in Carthage, NY she was the
daughter of the late Kenneth G. and Ethel A.I. (Hoffman) Burrell Sr.
Doreen graduated from Carthage CHS in 1968 and continued
her education through Watertown School of Commerce.
For 25 years, she worked as an Assembler at Northland Electric in Watertown.
Doreen is survived by a Daughter, Misty L. E. Burrell of Douglasville, GA, a Brother, Kenneth G. Burrell Jr. of Douglasville, GA., 2 Aunts, several cousins and the many friends she made along her journey in life, whom she always held close.
Besides her parents Doreen was predeceased by a brother, Robert L. Burrell, an Army Specialist Fourth Class, who died
while serving in Vietnam as a paratrooper.
The family is currently planning a memorial service for late spring / early summer of 2009 in Carthage, NY. Details on the service will be available at a later date.
