Obituary of Jack H. Prouty

North Creek: Jack H. Prouty, 75, of Sodom Cross Road, passed away peacefully, Saturday, April 29, 2017 at his home, following a brief illness. Born September 28, 1941 in North Creek, he was the son of the late Harold and Wilma (Hitchcock) Prouty. He married Karen Shepard on February 17, 1963 at the North Creek Methodist Church. Jack worked for Waddell Coca Cola and in 1972 got his own dealership, which he operated until 1979. He was then employed by the Town of Johnsburg Highway Department, retiring in 2003 as Deputy Superintendent of Highways. In addition to his wife of 54 years, he is survived by three sons, William Prouty, Dan Prouty and his wife, Danyel, and Tim Prouty and his fiancée, Judy Mitchell; five grandchildren, Stephanie, Tina, Patrick, Casandra, and Shelbie; and a great-grandson, Jason. At Jack’s request there will be no calling hours or funeral services scheduled.
