At the age of 18, he moved to Florida with his family, where he worked and lived for many years. Eventually he began his employment with the Iron Workers, Local 808 in Florida, and transferred to Local 12 in Albany, where he remained for 12 years, until his retirement in June, 2016. He is survived by his beloved wife, Amy Millington of Pottersville; his children: Cynthia Van de Ende of Apopka, FL; Jonathan Van de Ende of Titusville, FL; and Gabriel Van de Ende of Pottersville; a step-son, Caleb Millington; his siblings, Olav Malm of Lutz, FL, and Solveig (Malm) Nieuwendam of Lithia, FL; three grandchildren, Kiannah Hyacinthe, Kaleigh Swoape, and Bryan Swoape, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.
