Donna, Teresa and family, I can't tell you how sorry I am. I wish so bad that I could be there for you. Your mom was working in the hospital the day my first child was born and I will never forget that. She was the first person I saw when I came out of anesthesia. I can't tell you how comforting it was to see a loving, familiar face. I will miss her, and our baseball chats. I love you both and hope you can find peace at this time. Call me anytime. Rest in peace, Joyce.

Donna & Teresa, I'm so sorry for your loss. I saw your mom again in 2009 at the Church 50th celebration. We hadn't seen each other for quiet some time, but kept in contact by Facebook. Nice lady & she will be missed. Our loss, God's gain. Much love to both you girls.

Sincere sympathy to the family of my wonderful friend Joyce. We met approximately 34 years ago at the First Baptist Church in Libertyville, IL when Pastor Sam introduced us. The friendship just clicked. Even though, she moved to New York & I moved to Arizona, we kept in close contact. I had not seen Joyce for about 15 yrs. until we both attended the reunion at the Baptist Church in IL 8/09 where we had first met. It was like not a day had not passed since we had seen each other. Words cannot express the wonderful person & friend she was. I will miss her.

Heartfelt sympathies to Joyce's family. Her humor, patience, and wise, quiet complexity helped our family immensely through our mother's last five years, during which she was a willing and adaptable 'rock' in the caregiver team. She helped us all by showing tremendous wit and compassion in spite of frequently being treated rudely by a very bad patient!
I will miss her, and hope that she and Peg can finally meet beyond the fog of dementia that denied Joyce her due recognition, now as two liberals souls who both so loved a good book! My brothers and I will be forever grateful to her.

Joyce always had a zest for life and
i looked up to her as an older sister
as she lived with our family in north
river when i was 16. she enjoyed researching the family tree back as far as she could. i talked to her often in the last month of her life and i know she is with our LORD IN HEAVEN, no longer in pain and surrounded by her family. God bless to all the family. brenda, paul, jackie

My sympathy to Joyce's family and friends. She was such a beautiful woman with a gentle soul. We'll surely miss our summer dinners at the Stony Creek Inn & sharing life's stories of love and struggles. It's not sad to know that she's with Jesus and her family in heaven, now.
