Henry D. “Hank” Russell, 83, of State Route 8, passed away peacefully, Friday, October 13, 2017.
Born January 21, 1934, he was the son of the late Truman and Jesse (Morehouse) Russell.
He married Carol Dutcher on October 8, 1955. The couple spent 34 years together before her untimely passing in 1989.
Hank honorably served his country in the Army during the Korean War.
Hank worked various jobs, for Ron Grimes Excavating & Paving, Stanley Granger Logging, and for the Towns of Fort Ann and Johnsburg.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and visiting friends around the area.
In addition to his parents and late wife, he is predeceased by his siblings, David, Mary, and Christine, son-in-law, Kenneth Washburn, Sr., and granddaughter, Tammy Clark.
He is survived by his children, Dean Russell and Darlene Washburn, both of Johnsburg, Dolores (Steve) Clark of Fort Edward; grandchildren, Trish and Kenneth Washburn, Jr., and Tara Cleveland, all of Johnsburg, Chad Clark of Fort Ann, and Brad Clark of Hudson Falls. He also leaves behind several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friend, Geneva Wolfe, and friends from Hudson Falls.
At Henry’s request there will be no calling hours or funeral services scheduled.
