Obituary of Marie C. Bunker

Warrensburg:
Marie Bunker, 89, formerly of Prospect Street, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2008, at the Indian River Nursing in Granville.
Born on May 16, 1919 in Thurman, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Blanche (Welsh) Combs.
On September 17, 1937, she married George A. Bunker at the Baptist Church Parsonage in Thurman. The couple had been residents of Warrensburg since.
Marie worked at the former Warrensburg Shirt Factory while her husband served his country during WWII.
Besides her husband, Marie is also predeceased by her sister, Eva and two brothers, Howard and William.
She is survived by three sons: James L. Bunker of Manchester, Conn.; and Ronald W. Bunker and his wife, Harriet; and Kevin G. Bunker, both of Warrensburg; one daughter; Sandra Fisher of Stony Creek; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
A memorial service to celebrate Marie’s life will be conducted at 3 pm Thursday, at the Warrensburg First Baptist Church, 3850 Main St., Warrensburg, with the Rev. Roger Richards, Pastor officiating.
A time of fellowship will follow the memorial service at the church until 5 pm.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
