NANCY AND TOMMY, IT HAS BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE WE MADE SNOW FORTS AND SMOKED STICKS AS cigarettes. I LOVED YOUR DAD AS IF HE WERE MY OWN. YOUR FAMILY KEPT ME SAFE, WHETHER YOU KNEW IT OR NOT. I WILL NEVER FORGET ANY OF YOU FOR THAT. YOUR DAD WILL BE MISSED BY ALOT OF PEOPLE THAT HE TOUCHED IN HIS LIFE, WITH A SMILE OR A SONG. I WILL NEVER LISTEN TO ANOTHER IRISH SONG WITHOUT FEELING HIS VOICE DEEP IN MY HEART. I LOVE YOU ALL, THE PAIN OF LOSING HIM WILL NEVER LEAVE, BUT WILL GET EASIER AS TIME GOES BY. SALLY

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

Please accept my deepest sympathies on behalf of the Officers and Crew of the Albany/Saratoga Base of the United State Submarine Veterans.
Ray served his country in times of ultimate peril and in the face of war. He proudly rose at our meetings to be recognized as a WWII Veteran.
His service was honorable and the Base was a better group because of his ideas and opinions.
