Obituary of Angelina Deppe

Johnsburg: Angelina “Angie” Deppe, 93, formerly of Goodman Road, passed away peacefully, Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Glens Falls Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born November 16, 1923 in Staten Island, she was the daughter of the late Lorenzo and Ritella (Miriello) Miraldi. She married William H. Deppe on December 31, 1941 on Staten Island, where they resided most of their lives, before relocating to Johnsburg in 1982. She was a woman of great faith and was very outspoken and a hard worker. She took great pride in her clean home and manicured property, spending many hours behind her trusty weed whacker. When she wasn’t in her yard working, she could be found enjoying her soap operas. Angie was set in her ways, refusing to try certain foods, such as ketchup, mayo, milk, and butter, for 93 years. Her greatest joy of all was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, and late husband of 59 years William, Angie is predeceased by a son, James William Deppe and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by a son, Alan Deppe and his wife, Rita, of Glens Falls; daughter-in-law, Ann P. Deppe and her companion, Tom Pierson of North Creek; seven grandchildren, William James Deppe and his companion, Christina Lloyd, Mariann (William) McGee, Jill Barilli and her companion, Matt Pusatere, Jaclyn (Andy) Garcia, Julie (Pugsley) Wolfe, Jason Deppe and his companion, Melody McGrath and Eric Deppe; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Arrington, Brynn, Julia, Olivia, Alexandra, Adalyn, and Gwendolyn. She also leaves behind her special friend, Jim Lombardo as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call on Angelina’s family from 5 to 8 pm, Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. A funeral service to celebrate her life will take place at 10 am, Wednesday, at the funeral home, with Rev. Ronald Allen, Pastor of the Sodom Community Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Warrensburg Cemetery. Angie’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Way and the nursing staff on Tower 3 at Glens Falls Hospital for the outstanding care and compassion given to her during this difficult time.
