Marylou Olden, 70, of 14th Road, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Glens Falls Hospital.
Born July 26, 1943 in Moriah, she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Agnes (Nichols) Mather.
Mary spent much of her youth in the Moriah area, before relocating to Tahwawus, and eventually settling in Minerva.
She was employed by the Summit at Gore, and the Gore Mountain Villages as a chambermaid for over 20 years.
Besides spending time with her grandchildren, Mary enjoyed gardening, cooking, bird watching, and putting puzzles together, as well as crosswords and sudoku.
She married Arnold L. Olden on August 6, 2005 in Chestertown.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Alan Mather, and her step-son, Brad Olden.
She is surived by her beloved husband, Arnold Olden of Minerva; her daughters, Linda Morehouse of Glens Falls, Sharon Maxam and her husband, Victor, of Brant Lake, Deborah McNally and her husband, Bradley, of Chestertown; step-children, April Williams and her husband, John, of Olmstedville, and Jason Olden, and his companion, Carrie McComsey, of Wevertown; nine grandchildren, Olivia, Hunter, Paige, and Cutter Maxam, Thomas, Kaitlin, and Jaclyn Urtz, and Austin and Cheyenne Williams; her siblings, Barabara (Arthur) Slider of Deming, NM, Charles (Gladys) Mather of Deming, NM, Leroy Mather and his companion, Neva, of Oklahoma City, OK, and Nancy Smith of Desoto, TX. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
At Mary’s request there will be no calling hours or funeral services scheduled.
