Obituary of Mildred V. Johnson

Warrensburg: Mildred V. Johnson, 85, of Oak Street, passed away peacefully, Monday, July 10, 2017, at her home. Born May 27, 1932 in Bolton Landing, she was the daughter of the late George and Julia (Potter) Bennett. She married Stanley D. Johnson on December 24, 1949 in Warrensburg. Mil spent several decades as a loving caregiver for many children in the area. Besides spending time with her family, she enjoyed camping and garage sales. In addition to her parents and late husband of 66 years, Stan, Mildred is predeceased by her siblings, Isabelle M. Dickinson, Bertha Brown, Margaret (Peggy) Olden, Hazel Rounds, Lena Parker, Gladys Delorenzo, Beatrice LaGoy, Bessie French, and Beecher Bennett. She is survived by three daughters, Sandra Reif of South Glens Falls, Wendy DeLoria and her husband, Philip, of Clifton Park, and Debra Mead of Warrensburg; grandchildren, Gina (Michael) Boomershine, Christie Patton, Michael (Liz) Reif, Jr., Melissa (Stephen Kane) DeLoria, Jason (Beth) DeLoria, Corey (Lisa) Mead, Amanda (Darrick) Christian, Andrew Mead, Zachary (Dani) Mead. She also leaves behind several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call on Mildred’s family from 1 to 2 pm, Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. A funeral service to celebrate her life will immediately follow the visitation at 2 pm, at the funeral home with James Baker, officiating. Burial will follow in Warrensburg Cemetery.
