Cheryl L. Tardiff, 55, formerly of Stony Creek passed away Thursday, Aug 9, 2007, at her home following a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by her loving companion, Orville Teachout and her son, Mark.
She was born June 10, 1952 in Glens Falls, the daughter of William W. and Irene F. (Harrington) Hastings.
Cherie enjoyed reading, working on puzzles and gardening. She adored her little Pekingese, China.
She is survived by her companion, Orville Teachout of Stony Creek, her sons, Mark of Stony Creek and Billy of Glens Falls; her sisters, Barbara Crowder of Newport News, VA and Denise Winslow of Stony Creek; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, August 14, at the Warrensburg Cemetery, Hudson St. Warrensburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Cherie’s name to Charles R. Wood Cancer Center at Glens Falls Hospital, 102 Park St., Glens Falls, NY 12801 or to a charity of one’s choice.
