Obituary of John F. Stewart

North Creek: John F. Stewart, 38, of Peaceful Valley Rd., passed away peacefully, Monday morning, March 5, 2007 at his home surrounded by his loved ones following a short illness. Born August 21, 1968 in Glens Falls, he was the son of Richard Stewart and Patricia (Wescott) Stewart both of North Creek. John was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from Johnsburg Central High School with a regents diploma. Over the years, John had worked at the Gore Mt. Ski Center, the Hudson River Rafting Co. and dairy farms in the Buffalo area. His favorite pastimes included hunting, fishing, his pets and spending time with his close friends. Survivors besides his parents, include his wife, Christine Scott Stewart of North Creek; children, Melissa and Christopher Scott both of North Creek; his brother, Richard Hornick and his companion, Shannon Schwab of North Creek; his sister, Rebecca Brown and her companion, Richard Larkin of Warrensburg, sister, Terry Yarbrough and her husband, Kent of Buford, GA; niece, Andi Yarbrough of Buford, G A; and grandson, Nathaniel Robinson of North Creek. Friends may call on John’s family from 6 until 8pm on Wednesday, March 7 at the Alexander Funeral Home, Inc, 4479 State Rt. 28, North River. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00am on Thursday, March 8 at the funeral home. Burial will take place in the Bates Cemetery, Johnsburg later in the spring.
