Obituary of Stephen H. McDonald

Thurman: Stephen H. “Beanie” McDonald, 56, of Glen-Athol Road, passed away, Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at his home following a long illness. Born July 11, 1951 in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Warren and Hilda (Halavin) McDonald. Beanie graduated from the Warrensburg Central High School in 1969. He continued his education at the ABC Business College and went on to attend the St. Petersburg, FL Vocational Technical Institute studying electronics. He owned and operated a electronic business in St. Petersburg, FL for several years before being diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy. He loved visiting with his friends and family, watching TV in his later years, and telling stories about his life. He and his wife, Zina (Jacobson) McDonald had recently celebrated their 27th anniversary. Beanie leaves behind, his beloved wife, Zina of Thurman; his sister, Sylvia Raymon of Ticonderoga; his brother in law, Alfred “Butch” Jacobson of Warrensburg; cousin and close friends and neighbors, Roy and Jamiee Ross of Thurman; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call on Beanie’s family from 6-8 pm Monday evening, August 27 at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. A funeral service to celebrate his life will follow the visitation at 8 pm Monday at the funeral home with close family friend, Bill Cranker officiating.
