Please share a memory of Naylor to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Warrensburg:
Naylor R. Wells, Jr., 63, of State Route 28, passed away peacefully, Thursday, July 19, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born July 3, 1955 in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Naylor Sr. and Jean (Hammond) Wells.
Naylor Wells, Jr. came into this world with great strength; a quality he carried with him throughout his life. Wise beyond his years, his intelligence and ambition produced a lifelong work ethic from which he grew a successful business. Naylor lead a virtuous life- he was fair and honest.
He possessed an unparalleled sense of humor that kept you on your toes. He was charismatic and quite quick witted; he loved to laugh and making others laugh brought him great joy. Naylor was compassionate and caring and would do anything for the ones he cared about. Even if he didn’t know you, he treated you with kindness. He was a true friend and respected by many.
Naylor and his family built a beautiful life. He loved and cherished both his family and home dearly. The love he had for his family was immeasurable; they received his support and motivation daily. You could always hear him “cheering on” his girls over everyone else at a horse event. Naylor also had an unwavering passion for his horses. Whether it be Chevy horsepower or purebred, the man knew how to drive on many levels!
Nestled in at home, he enjoyed the nature and animals that surrounded him. Fishing, four-wheeling, watching westerns, entertaining in the garage, and enjoying a home cooked meal. He enjoyed these things most when he was able to share them with his children and grandchildren. As much as Naylor loved, he was loved in return. He will be missed but never forgotten.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Gail Wells of Warrensburg; his children: Nadine A. Wells and her husband, Scott Adams of Queensbury, Sadie M. Wells and Kevin Calvert of Warrensburg, Lottie M. Wells of Warrensburg, and Naylor E. (Son) Wells and his wife, Charlene of Warrensburg; his beloved grandchildren: Gwendoline C. Sweet, Abigail L. Karson, Hunter J. Karson, Charlie M. Johnson, Ryder N. Wells, Noah E. Wells, and Aislyn G. Calvert; his siblings: Ceola Wells, Susie Wells and her husband, Henry, Sam Wells and his wife, Nancy, Charlotte Whalen and her husband, John, and Tom (UFT) Wells; his great friends, Donny Van Guilder, John Baker, Lou Zahra, Joel Prosser, Alan Frasier, and close cousin, Noah Wells. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
