Virginia L. “Ginny” Santolin, 89, of Mountain Ave., formerly of Alden Ave., passed away at her home in Warrensburg, on June 10, 2006, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on March 24, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Lionel and Maude Galusha of Bakers Mills.
Ginny lived a very happy fulfilled life until her last days. Throughout her life, Ginny has touched so many lives with her love and kindness. She cherished her family and friends. She was a great inspiration to all who knew her. Her life was devoted to her family. She loved being on her farm, raising farm animals, gardening and especially all of her grandchildren that she was so proud of. She was famous for making the best fudge and donuts around and everyone raved about them. Her employment started with child care at her home, where she watched dozens of children and cared for them as her own, she was then employed at the Surfside Motel, Lake George for 17 years and also Scotties Motel, Lake George, for 18 years.
Ginny was a dedicated member of the Free Methodist Church of Warrensburg and was very fond of Pastor Leonard and all the members and she was thought of dearly by all of them as well.
She was predeceased by her husband of 35 years, Peter Santolin; an infant son, John Henry; three sisters, Verna Galusha, Rose Winslow and Grace Lackey Morehouse; and three brothers, Gus, Howard and Lee Galusha.
Ginny is survived by her children, Joseph Santolin and his companion, Millie Bills of Warrensburg, Jane Fuller and her husband, Earl of Warrensburg, David Russell of Schenectady, Rose Ross and her husband, Mike of Florida; two sisters, Mary Tarantelli of Warrensburg, Pearl Rhodes of Corinth; grandchildren, Kathy Monroe and her husband Robert of Chestertown, Nancy Smith and her husband Steve of Brant Lake, Michael Ross Jr. and his wife Michelle of Chestertown, Laurie Grinnell and her husband Bill of Ticonderoga, Matt Ross and his companion Cindy Evans of Chestertown, Judy Simpson and her husband Matt of Queensbury, Daniel Ross of Corinth, Bruce and Wayne Fuller of Warrensburg; 17 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Virginia will be greatly missed by her family, friends and community as a loving person who touched all of everyone in a special way and will remain in our hearts forever.
Ginny’s family would especially like to thank Lisa, the Warren County Health Nurse, Stephanie, the home health aide and all the other people who were involved in Ginny’s care.
Relatives and friends may call on Monday, June 12, from 6:00 until 9:00 pm at Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, Warrensburg. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00am, Tuesday, June 13, at the Free Methodist Church, River St., Warrensburg, with the Rev. Richard Leonard officiating. Interment will follow in the Warrensburg Cemetery.

Pall bearers will be Robert Monroe Jr., Michael Ross III, Bruce, Wayne and Anthony Fuller, Matt and Daniel Ross, Paul Cleveland, and Alex Hernandez.
