Obituary of Caroline A. Langworthy

Warrensburg: Caroline A. Langworthy, 88, of Elm Street, passed away peacefully, Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Elderwood at North Creek following a brief illness. Born November 6, 1930 in Warrensburg, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Irene (Bennett) Griffin. She was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from Warrensburg Central School. She married Donald A. Langworthy on August 12, 1950. Caroline was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren. She was a faithful, active, and lifelong member of Church of the Holy Cross in Warrensburg. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Don Langworthy and two brothers, Richard and Duane Griffin. She is survived by her children, Dal Langworthy and his wife, Yunhui of North Hudson, David Langworthy and his wife, Barbara of Warrensburg, Dana Langworthy and his wife, Ginger of Brant Lake, and Darren Langworthy and his wife, Amy of Warrensburg; brothers, Cappy Griffin of Baldwinsville, and Bob Griffin and his wife, Edrie of Warrensburg; two special nieces, Ellen Robertson and Debbie Champagne; a special nephew, Shane Griffin of Corinth; as well as 10 grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call on Caroline’s family from 11 am to 1 pm, Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. A funeral service to celebrate her life will immediately follow the visitation at 1 pm with Fr. Thomas Pettigrew, officiating. Burial will follow in Warrensburg Cemetery.
