Warrensburg: Eugenia Marinesco, 83, of Lake Avenue, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at her home following a brief illness. Born February 26, 1935 in Bucharest, Romania, she was the daughter of the late Nicolae and Ioana Golumbu. She attended the Hasdeu School for Women and studied economics and accounting. Following her graduation, she worked for Energo-Constructii (Institute of Energy) as an accountant for 36 years. Besides spending time with her family, she enjoyed classical music, volleyball, mountain climbing, nature, and animals, especially dogs. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her first husband of 40 years and father of their children, Ion Enachescu; her second husband of 11 years, Nicolae Marinesco; and sister, Paula Golumb. She is survived by her sons, Cristi Enachescu and his wife, Regina and Stefan Enachescu and his wife, Rodica; her grandchildren, Janina (Mile) and Radu Enachescu; great-granddaughter, Aenna; her brother, Mircea Golimbu and his wife, Cornelia and their children, Irene and Alex; and niece, Daniela Pope and her husband, Adrian and their children, Alex Pope and Sandra Swaney and her husband, Raymond. Friends may call on Eugenia’s family from 11 am to 1 pm, Saturday, December 22, 2018 at the Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. A funeral service to celebrate her life will immediately follow the visitation at 1 pm, at the funeral home with Fr. Gregory Potter of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, officiating.
