John M. Shinn, 50, of Trout Brook Rd, passed away, Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at the Glens Falls Hospital from injuries sustained in an auto-pedestrian accident that occurred at the Adirondack Community College on Wednesday, the 21st.
Born May 15, 1956 in Mount Holly, NJ, he was the son of Roy and Elizabeth (Mooney) Shinn of Olmstedville.
John was raised in Mount Holly, NJ, graduated from Rancocas Valley Regional High School and attended the University of Utah at Salt Lake City. He enjoyed skiing in the Rockies while residing in Utah. He returned to NJ and worked for UPS before moving to the north-country to be near his parents.
Survivors include his father and mother, his sister, Jane Owen and her partner, Bill Gehring of Queensbury; his two brothers, Albert R. Shinn and his wife, Susan of Trinidad, CA, William R. Shinn, his wife, Patricia and their daughter, Bonnie of Saranac, NY; and niece, Jennifer Owen and her husband, Christopher May, of Moss Point, MS.
Memorial services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
There are no calling hours scheduled.
