Obituary of Jamie E. Haskell

Athol: Jamie E. Haskell, 23, of Mountain Road, passed away unexpectedly, Friday after being stricken at his home. Born July 12, 1984 in Glens Falls, he was the son of Donald and Hilda (Rounds) Haskell of Athol. Jamie was a 2003 graduate of Warrensburg Central High School. Following high school, he began his working years at Vaughn and D'Aviongan Lumber Co. and Lincoln Log Corp. along side his father. For the last three years, he was working full time at Gore Mountain Ski Center. He was a member of the NYS Maple Producers Association, the Upper Hudson Maple Association and the Haskell Brothers Post 4821 VFW in Warrensburg. Jamie was an avid NASCAR fan, whose favorite driver was Ryan Newman. He enjoyed wrestling, Green Bay Packer football, watching movies, video game playing, and four wheeling. He is predeceased by his uncle Raymond Haskell; his cousin C.J. Haskell; paternal grandparents, Frank and Linda Haskell, maternal grandparents, George and Pansy Rounds. Survivors besides his loving parents, include his uncles, Charles Haskell and his companion, Dee Dee of Thurman, Sam Steele of Thurman; his aunts, Charlotte Brandt and her companion, Mike of Thurman, Frances Morrison and her companion, John of Gansevoort, Becky Desourdy and her husband, Jim of Thurman, Heidi Haskell and her companion, Stubby of Stony Creek, Melanie Haskell of Thurman; several other aunts, uncles and cousins and neighbors, Marc and Cheryl Kenyon. Friends may call on Jamie’s family from 5-8 pm Monday evening at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. Funeral services will be conducted 11 am Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Herrmann, Pastor of the Thurman Baptist Church officiating.
