Obituary of Darlene Anne Robinson

Queensbury: Darlene Anne “Dolly” Robinson, 58, of Pinecone Dr., and formerly of Lake George, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Albany Medical Center. Born June 27, 1956 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Dorothy (Smith) Blair. Dolly grew up in Lake George, attended Lake George High School, and was employed by several local restaurants throughout the years. She spent many years residing in Florida in the 1970’s and ‘80’s, before relocating back to the area, eventually settling in Warrensburg for some time. Dolly was a free spirit who enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, listening to music, people, and valued live to its very end. In addition to her parents, Darlene was predeceased by her siblings, Sandra Blair and Wayne Blair. She is survived by a son, David DiGiovanni and his wife, Molly, of Tulsa, OK; a daughter, Michelle Robinson, of Queensbury; sisters, Colleen Flewelling and her significant other, David Close, of Queensbury, Donna Blair of Maine. Dolly also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call on Dolly’s family from 11 am to 12 noon, Friday, November 14, 2014 at Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main Street, Warrensburg. A memorial service to celebrate Darlene’s life will be conducted at noon, Friday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations in Darlene’s memory to the local SPCA, in Queensbury.
