Obituary of Florence C. Dunkley

Bakers Mills:
Florence C. Dunkley, 80, of Bartman Road, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at the Adirondack Tri-County Health Care Center in North Creek.
Born September 14, 1926 in Fort Ann, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Clara (Green) Twiss.
Florence was a lifelong resident of the area and enjoyed attending the Sodom Community Church.
She is predeceased by her husband, Harold Dunkley, her brothers, Winfred and Jessie Twiss and sister, Marguerite Murphy.
Survivors include her sons, Eugene Dunkley and his wife, Alice of Bakers Mills, Ernest Dunkley and his companion, Betty of Bakers Mills, her daughter, Sueann Loya and her husband, Jack of Queensbury; three brothers, Walter Twiss of Fort Ann and Gerald Twiss of Idaho, Robert Twiss of North Carolina; her sister, Genevieve Morrison of Warrensburg; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call on Florence’s family from 10:30 am until 12 pm Thursday at the Alexander Funeral Home, Inc, 4479 State Rt. 28, North River.
A funeral service will follow the visitation at 12 pm Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ron Allen, Pastor of the Sodom Community Church officiating.
Burial will take place in the Bates Cemetery, Johnsburg in the spring.
Memorials may take the form of donations to the Adirondack Tri-County Health Care Center, North Creek, NY 12853.
